I have returned! **mega photo heavy**

I have returned from my quest to find sunshine!
I decided that this weekend Aaron and I would go on a little road trip. It has been so cold in little ol' Utah lately. Okay... Okay so we didn't technically leave the state, but we did make it to the southern most part. (St. George) The sun was magical just what I needed to push all my "bothered" feelings away.
Look at that, no snow on the mountains!!
This weekend I spent a lot of time crocheting, walking my dogs in the sunshine, hanging out with my husband, and totally ruining my diet :S I said I was going to be good, but I kind of binged.
I told you I crocheted a lot. I know Sam's hat totally looks like a bandage/old school leather football helmet.
**SPEAKING of Football.. well sort of, I can't believe I missed the Puppy Bowl!**

first attempt at a striped beanie... still need to work out some kinks on this one.

The first night we were there we got little to no sleep. Our dogs wouldn't stop barking at the other dog across the hotel.. Not wanting to get kicked out we had to keep silencing the dogs.
(which led to the dogs being banished to the car the next night. Oh don't worry it wasn't too cold or hot for them, plus they had it posh in there. Promise.)
***
After a crappy night I was determined to have a great day. I decided that Aaron and I were going to drive to Zion National Park to do some sight seeing.
It was beautiful.
I love how the road was red
My dogs are so great in the car, we keep them in their cage with all the essentials. Sammie is so funny she loves to sit at the front and look out the front windshield. But seriously the dogs were awesome on the road with little to no whining.
Holy cow it was awesome.
I can't even believe how much crap I ate this weekend. So be ware Weigh-in Wednesday might not be as successful as previous weeks. Oh well, back on the bandwagon this week right?
Aaron is eating a half rack of ribs in this photo, and he is going to be furious with me for posting this ;)
All in all it was a good getaway and a great weekend away with the ones I love most
I think I am ready to take on a new week grouch free now.

Check out the view on the ride home, seriously red mountains and then do you see that behind?? Snowy mountain tops BOOO. I don't think I was quite ready to come back to winter.
Oh well just an excuse to go back on vacation soon right??

Check out these photos of my pups in the car, they are so adorable
I sat on my freaking favorite sunglasses, bummer. That is like the 4th pair in the last 4 months I sat on and broke... Some things, I never learn.
Sammie was so sleepy the whole ride ♥
heheh.

Well I hope that everyone had a great weekend.
I sure did miss you all
& I hope that we get some sunshine coming our way sometime soon!
Have a great Sunday night all
P.S. Sorry for all the jumping around in this post. I had too many pictures from not blogging this weekend. It is good to be back though!

Wooo! Looks like a fun weekend! I need to get away! Maybe I'll sneak away to a St. George getaway soon :D

I love your puppy pictures so much! That one of Sammie yawning is soooooo cute! Hehe.

Also, I totally fell off the bandwagon this weekend too! Well, mostly just today. Damn Super Bowl and your nutrition disaster ways! haha.

Happy you made it home safe! Here's to a good week! :)

it looked like you had a lovely trip! i love road trips, and the bonus was you got some sun! If you ever need it again stop by Arizona, it's beautiful here! My favorite place is Sedona, it's a little chilly there because it's further north, but it's breath taking!

Stay warm! I think the coldest part of winter is over... well I hope anyways!

I'm seriously sooo jealous. I've been sick for DAYS and before that Asia was sick. We went outside into the freeezing cold yesterday and it just made her cough worse. UGH. So over winter.

Let's just move to St. George. Haha.

St. George is so beautiful!!! I miss it so much! And of course I miss my sis-in-law and nephews, but the scenery is so breath taking I just can't help but miss it! And Zion National Park!!! Ahh I miss that place too!
It looks like you had a wonderful time! Its always nice to get away from home for a bit even if it is just for the weekend.

I hate to say it...but I kind of hate not living in St. George. I liked the weather so much more than here in blah Ohio. haha.

I hope you have a wonderful day love!
