Weekend Getaway

Happy Monday to all my lovely readers!
I hope that everyone had a great weekend.
This past weekend Aaron and I went up to Salt Lake City to stay at the Little America for a night. {this was one of my Christmas gifts.}
It was just a quick little getaway, but it was so relaxing and much needed.
We left our house around 4 and got to our hotel around 5. We were both starving by the time we got there so we hurried checked in and then walked over to the Grand America Hotel for dinner. We ate in the "Garden Cafe" which has a lot of significance in Aaron and my relationship. {we ate there the night we got engaged & it is where we had our wedding luncheon} I got a diet coke, fillet Mignon, and sherbet and OMG was it delicious!
Fancy coke (haha)
I am not a meat eater, but their meat is Delicious
After dinner, Aaron was exhausted from working a grave the night before so we decided to head back to the hotel room.
Our cute pillow had acorns on it :)
I pretty much just spent the rest of the night crocheting my hat, while watching episode upon episode of Bridal Plasty. {seriously?} Hey it was the only thing on! I finally finished my hat, it looked like a midgets chef hat haha. OH well, at least I know what-not to do next time!
Not thee greatest picture, but you get the idea.

This morning we woke up, 30 minutes late! YIKES. Apparently Apple is having troubles with the alarm program on the IPhone because of the new year.. This happened on daylight savings too, I set my alarm and it never goes of! {wtf}

We had 30 minutes to get ready, take our stuff out to our car, and check out before breakfast was over. Unfortunately the buffet closed at 10:30 and we got there at 10:35! LAME. The man on the phone told us that breakfast got over at 11am, never mentioning anything about the buffet being over 30 minutes before!! Oh well, we got breakfast and it was FABULOUS.. Of course I got a diet coke, eggs, potatoes, and bacon{which I gave most of to Aaron, I hate the fatty parts}

                                                           Nom Nom Nom, so good!
Aaron was disappointed we missed the buffet, but I think he still enjoyed his breakfast!
We then headed out to Whole Foods for some gluten free bread and some raw hides for the dogs. We went to Nordstrom on the way home to try and get me my UGG boots, but the sales people where all too absorbed to help. So I just ended up buying a ring for now.
Then we drove home to the pups! Speaking of pups thank you to my mother for feeding them, and letting them out while we were gone! Your a life saver:)
It is good to be home, sometimes it is nice to get away even if it is only for a night. But it is great to come home, especially when you have this to look forward to:
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!

I always have the same problem with salespeople at Nordstrom!! But, I suppose I hate being ignored just as much as I hate being accosted by salespeople, so really I shouldn't complain. At least you got an awesome ring!

I haven't stayed at the Little America since jr high, but I remember it being awesome! Never been in the Grand America though, looks way fancy schmancy.

Awesome! Sounds like you guys had fun. I'm jealous! I want a getaway. And a husband. Husbands seem like nice things to have. Sigh, maybe someday.

Man I'm such a downer! We should totally hang out soon.
