Good ending to a once crappy day

Let me just start off by saying this: Today was one of those days where everything seemed to go bad. Like:  Sammie peed on the carpet (SHE NEVER DOES THAT, what the hell!?), my heater is broken and needs to be fixed($$$$$), We are very short staffed at work, which causes people to become angry at me because I was the only check in receptionist and could not get them checked in fast enough +answer phone calls, and take their payments (blah blah blah), AND THEN tonight I got a peppermint shake which is my favorite. only to bite down on a hard chunk (yes chunk) of freaking rubber.. Maybe it is a sign that I need to start eating healthier?? I don't know, but there is almost nothing worse than finding an inanimate object in your food. BLECK! Anyways before I scare you all away with my downer post I will tell you something that totally made my day go from doom and gloom, to fabulous.! Getting home to find this in my mailbox:

My package from my dear blog friend Chrissy! We recently did a handmade trade and I could not be more thrilled with the contents of these beautifully wrapped packages. First off let me start by saying that I think she is such a talented women, and a wonderful mother. She has an adorable Etsy shop called Whimsical Poppysmic where you can find anything from felted owl ornaments, to cellphone/ipod covers, to knitted ear warmers. You should definitely go check out Chrissy's shop! (&) If you haven't already done so, I would highly recommend visiting her blog Chrissy In America and becoming one of her followers. She is such an inspiration to me, and her posts always brighten my day. Now to the fun part, here are all the wonderful goodies that she sent to me:

I wish that I had better lighting and a camera other than my IPhone to be able to capture what she sent me better. (BUT i don't ) She sent me an awesome cover for my IPhone in my favourite colors! As well as a beautifully monogrammed embroidered felt broach with beading accents (so gorgeous in real life) a cute clip also with my favourite color adorned with cute little beads around the edges, and an awesome flower felted broach! With a sweet little card with a pink cupcake on the front that brightened my day completely. Thank you so much Chrissy for being willing to do a trade with me, and brightening my day when it was in a seemingly endless fog.

Also today's weather has been so crazy, buckets of snow and now the roads are frozen so solid it looks like an ice rink! I hope everyone had a great day, sorry to be such a downer today! I'll leave you with some pictures that make me smile.
